The International Football Institute (IFI), specialist educator for key roles within football, begins a new collaboration with Vcoaching!

Football enthusiasts and specialists alike are already familiar with the acronym of the Ismaning/Munich-based training institute renowned for its expertise. As a reminder, the International Football Institute focuses primarily on customized football training and development programs. Among the specializations offered are game analysis, scouting, leadership and management, data analysis, various training methodologies, and, as a complementary area of expertise, athletics. Across all disciplines, the training organization collaborates closely with institutions within the IUNworld university network, such as the University of Applied Management and the German University of Health and Sport (DHGS). The German national team coach, Julian Nagelsmann, is, in fact, a DHGS graduate.

Drawing on a decade of training, the IFI network extends from German football to everything related to avant-garde European football. This far from trivial anchoring in the field guarantees an exchange of knowledge and expertise carried out by interlocutors from multiple backgrounds and demonstrating diverse inspirations.

"The IFI's training courses are aimed at coaches, staff, and managers, both professional and amateur, who wish to prepare for their professional future."

Asked about the specificities of the institute, Dr. Anselm Küchle, the Director General of the IFI, explains: "The IFI's training courses are aimed at professionals, coaches, staff, and professional and amateur managers wishing to prepare for their professional future. Available in German or English languages, these programs cover a wide range of fields supported by the latest scientific discoveries that allow for the optimization of training, playing, and management processes."

A cutting-edge approach that raises questions about the cost and the audience likely to join such expert level training. Dr. Küchle reassures: "Our ambition, from the outset, has always been to offer high-end content for ambitious players in amateur football. Our commitment is to accessibility by offering affordable prices for all without sacrificing the educational quality of the offer."

Highly respected member of the German coaching community, and RB Leipzig coach, Ole Werner explains: "The IFI distinguishes itself through its modern approach to management and training, as well as through the implementation of powerful analytical methods to concretely improve the performance of football teams and organizations." In addition to individual and continuing education, the IFI also develops strategies for football clubs, associations, and companies as a consulting agency, drawing on its football knowledge, research activities, and network.

A Unique Network

One of the IFI's major strengths is its network of alumni and faculty. Among the coaches who have passed through the institute is Fabian Hürzeler, the Premier League coach (Brighton & Hove Albion), an IFI graduate and former employee of the institution.  Ole Werner, the head coach of RB Leipzig, also maintains close ties with the IFI, notably as a guest at events such as the Game Analysis and Scouting Network 2025.

Other prestigious alumni include the TSG Hoffenheim management duo, Andreas Schicker (General Director of Sport) and Christian Ilzer (coach), who both completed further training at the IFI. This duo has previously led Sturm Graz to the 2024 Austrian championship title and Austrian Cup victory.

Melanie Behringer, DFB U19 coach, continues to advance her career following successful completion of the IFI Masterclass. In addition, the IFI is an educational cooperation partner of FC Bayern Campus, FC St. Pauli, the Austrian Bundesliga, and the Young Bafana Soccer Academy, among others.

The IFI's 3 key strengths:

* Practical and scientific football expertise.
* An active network in the Bundesliga and throughout Europe, at both professional and amateur levels.
* Ten years of experience in developing specific training and development programs tailored to students' needs.
