Sports nutritionist and naturopath, Gladys Dybling, has been supporting many athletes and, over the last year, and the French basketball team. The specialist, who has worked for FC Metz, CF Montréal, and Olympique Lyonnais, reveals the most common advice she gives her athletes: "Always be well hydrated! It is very important for an athlete to drink water throughout the day and to master this aspect, because water has a very rapid impact on their energy and therefore their performance". For the expert, drinking at least 2.5 L of water per day (to adapt to needs and water losses), avoiding sugary drinks and having good mineral intakes on the side are the first keys to success. "Diet and healthy living are a state of mind: you have to make your body your first priority, take care of it and put in place adequate habits that meet its needs".
