Following Ruben Amorim’s appointment at Manchester United, The Guardian compiled a list of foreign managers who have worked in the Premier League over the last two decades. The analysis reveals that Italian coaches dominate the rankings with 15 representatives (see list below), just edging out Spanish managers, who have had 14 coaches take charge of English clubs. Dutch managers claim third place with 10 coaches in total. What about French coaches? They find themselves in fourth place with "only" eight managers entrusted with leading a Premier League team. It’s worth noting that the tally doesn’t include the Championship (England’s second-tier league), where Régis Le Bris, the former FC Lorient manager now at Sunderland, is making waves. Portuguese managers round out the top five with seven coaches who have worked or are currently working in the Premier League.
