Few players can boast of having been coached by three of the most influential managers of the 21st century as Cesc Fabregas can ; by Arsène Wenger (at Arsenal from 2003 to 2011), Pep Guardiola (at Barcelona during the 2011-2012 season), and José Mourinho (at Chelsea from 2014 to 2016). The world champion and current coach of Como 1907 in Serie A reflected on the lessons he learned from these three coaches in an interview with ESPN: "Wenger showed me that you have to be patient with your players, especially the younger ones, whom I like to work with. You have to put in a little more effort with them during training sessions," described the former Monaco midfielder. From his time under Pep Guardiola, the Catalan retained the tactical knowledge of Johan Cruyff's disciple: "He studies the opponent in such a way that he always knew what they could do and gave us solutions that I also try to bring to my players. Finally, what I like most about Mourinho is the way he manages his dressing room: he understands very quickly the needs of the players and how to give them what they lack to win." And he shared a piece of advice from the Special One that he has not forgotten: "Go with your ideas and when you identify a problem, solve it immediately, don't let it go."
