Despite having lost points in La Liga, Hansi Flick's FC Barcelona have had a spectacular first half of the season. On Saturday, the Catalans thrashed FC Valencia (7-1) in a match that the German coach particularly remembered for a gesture from his bench. In the 75th minute, the former Bayern Munich coach called Gavi to bring him on after the match was already won. The 20-year-old Spanish international then surprised the coach by offering to bring on his teammate Pablo Torre in his place, in order to give him some playing time. A rare gesture, which the coach reflected on after the Blaugranas' victory: "It was the action of the match that impressed me the most. It's incredible and I love Gavi for that gesture because normally, he wants to play every match. It shows how united the team is and for a coach, it's fantastic to see that."
