In recent months, Mainz and Hamburg have appointed their own “Coach Developer," a trend inspired by the Premier League where this role—acting as a coach supervisor and educator—already exists. Their goal? "To provide continuous, personalized training for the coaches and to develop a shared identity across all the club’s teams," explains Julia Brinkschroeder, who has held this role at HSV since January 2024. Each coach is monitored daily, some of their sessions are recorded, and they have regular meetings to help them improve. "We believe this benefits not only our coaches but the club as a whole."
