The press conferences and meticulous yet original methods of current Uruguay coach Marcelo Bielsa have always inspired his peers. Yet another example of "Loco's" perfectionism, during his time with Olympique de Marseille in 2014-2015, has just resurfaced. During a filmed training exercise, the Argentinian, irritated by seeing his players miss their crosses, gathered them in a circle to tell them a personal anecdote... about golf! "Why do you think most crosses are missed? Is it because you're hitting the ball badly? No, you're not focused enough!", the coach began by saying to the Marseille players. Before discussing his own standard in Tiger Woods' sport: "I like playing golf, but I'm very poor at it. As I'm anxious, I want to play too fast, so I take ten to fifteen balls and lose twenty per hole. If I want to play better, I only take one because if I lose it, I can't play anymore. It's the same situation here: if you don't concentrate on each ball, you'll never cross well." History does not say whether Marcelo Bielsa deprived his players of footballs.
