Having joined FIFA at the beginning of 2025 as a “Talent Coach”, Thierry Pinot is working on the “Talent Development Scheme”, an ambitious global project led by Arsène Wenger. The goal? “Help national federations structure their academies, develop methodologies adapted to local contexts and detect talent worldwide,” explains the French technician. In this context, he was able to exchange with the Aspire Academy in Doha, an "international point of reference for the integration of innovative approaches in player development. Their academy is impressive, with many experts covering various fields: technical, neurophysiological, psychological. They always start from the game, taking into account its complexity and dynamics, to develop players with a global mindset". An approach, both scientific and human, which impressed the former coach of the U18s of Pau FC: "It is a source of inspiration". More than 70% of the players of the Qatar national football team, double Asian champion, were trained at the Aspire Academy.
