PROCESSING RESPONSIBILITY
Upon registering on our website (subscription, subscription renewal, newsletter...), your personal data is collected.
As part of our efforts to respect users’ privacy, the RC média company is committed to collecting and processing this information in compliance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) adopted by the European Parliament and in effect since the 25th May 2018.

  • Encrypted password
  • Phone number
  • Debit card, and its validity date and security code in case of payment by STRIPE;
  • Only in the case of a payment by automatic direct debit (SDD Mandate), your bank details shall be required and kept on completely secured digital platforms.

DATA USE
This data provided by the user and/or subscriber shall be processed and is required for the following purposes:

  • Creation of your customer account;
  • Subscription purchase, or online item purchase;
  • Payment by direct debit (bank details) ;
  • Communication of information related to you, by newsletter, text or email;
  • Participation in contests;
  • Registering for  events;
  • Access to the fullest extent of the website features and services;
  • Service customisation and enhanced user experience;
  • Market research;
  • Statistical studies, or satisfaction surveys and visiting figures assessment;
  • The RC média company’s legitimate interest in customer relationships and management. This legitimate, justified and balanced interest does not infringe upon your privacy.

  • This data is subject to processing on behalf of and on the account of RC média by reliable service providers in order to execute a variety of operations in its name.
    Access by our subcontractors to your data is based on contracts setting out the obligations imposed on them with respect to protecting your data safety and privacy. RC média only provides them with the necessary information for them to carry out their service and requests them not to use the users’ personal data for other purposes
    Security: the RC média company and its Head of processing certify that they’ve taken all necessary and relevant measures (both technical and operational) in accordance with the applicable legal provisions, in order to protect your personal data against alteration, accidental or illicit loss, use, disclosure or non-authorised access, in particular by:
  • Restricting access to personal data to employees whose duties require them to refer to this data.
  • Securing access, sharing and transfer of this data 
  • Applying high standards with respect to data protection when choosing our subcontractors. In case our database is breached, what happens?
    The webmaster shall inform the affected users within the next 72 hours.
    This notification shall include the list of measures they’ve taken, or that the Head of processing intends to take, in order to remedy the personal data breach, including, if applicable, the measures taken to mitigate the potential adverse consequences.
    Meanwhile, still within the next 72 hours, a procedure shall be launched with the National Commission on Informatics and Liberty (CNIL).
    Collected data retention period:
    Most of the data (e.g customer account information and order history) is kept as long as the user is an “active” customer and for a period of three years (3 years) starting from their most recent activity (e.g account log in, or the expiry of a subscription or contract). Data is then archived with restricted access.
    Full details (IBAN) for automatic direct debits are saved in the Account in a secured manner. The user shall be able to delete them from their account at any moment, in which case, they will be removed from the processing carried out by the Company, within the limits necessary for processing ongoing operations.

RIGHTS OF INDIVIDUALS WITH REGARD TO THEIR PERSONAL DATA:

In accordance with the protection of personal data regulations, you shall be entitled to:

  • Access your personal data
  • Request it to be amended
  • Request it to be completed or updated
  • Request it to be erased (right to be forgotten)

Before addressing your request, we are likely to check your identity and/or request further information. We shall endeavour to proceed with your request within a maximum period of 30 days. An email from the RC média website administration will advise you that your data has been deleted, pure and simple.
We remind you that in accordance with legal requirements, all our newsletters include a footnote link allowing you to unsubscribe.
Additionally, users are entitled to make a complaint to the relevant supervising authority in charge of data protection or lodge a legal appeal to the National Commission on Informatics and Liberty (CNIL): https://www.cnil.fr/fr/plaintes
