After twenty years at the highest level, from Borussia Mönchengladbach to OGC Nice and the Czech national team, Nicolas Dyon reached the same conclusion as many coaches and physical trainers: “On the pitch, there’s a lack of a simple, comprehensive, and reliable tool for managing training.” This observation led to the creation of the Sport Performance Station, a device he has been developing since 2022 alongside Éric Castellani, a former professional referee. The idea came to him one day while observing a Mikel Arteta training session with Arsenal: “He had a cardboard tool attached to a metal stand to keep score on one side, and a wheeled device with a stopwatch on the other. It was basic, but it met all my needs…,” the physical trainer explains. Two years of collaboration with engineers and clubs later, a finalized version was tested for six months in Mönchengladbach before being launched in March 2025, convincing the French Women's Football Federation (FFF Féminin), Newcastle United, and AS Monaco to adopt it. Why? “It combines everything a coaching staff needs to conduct a training session flawlessly into a single unit: an extra-large tactical board, three digital screens (total time, environmental data, exercise duration programming, and scoring for up to four teams) that can be remotely controlled up to 80 meters away, an LED screen readable in direct sunlight, and wheels designed to avoid damaging the pitch. The goal is to free up field staff from administrative tasks so they can focus on the game, observation, and providing quality feedback.” Designed as a high-end tool, the Sport Performance Station (marketed by Click For Foot) has everything to appeal to professional clubs.
